Privacy policy

This policy describes how StaySmart OÜ (14826560) processes personal data on AutoSale.

What data we collect

Account data: name, email address, phone number (optional), and a hashed password.
Content you submit: car listings with photos and descriptions, saved searches, and messages sent to sellers through the contact form.
Payment records: plan, amount, and payment provider reference when you purchase a listing (card details are handled by the payment provider and never reach our servers).
Technical data: IP address in rate-limiting records (kept briefly to protect against abuse).

Why we process it

To operate the marketplace: publishing your listings, delivering buyer messages to sellers, sending email notifications you have requested (saved-search alerts, account verification, password resets), and issuing invoices as required by accounting law.
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

Cookies

We use only cookies that are necessary for the site to work:
- a session cookie that keeps you logged in;
- car24_lang, which remembers your chosen language (1 year);
- car24_cookies_ok, which remembers that you have seen the cookie notice (1 year).
No analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies are used.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Payment and invoice records are kept for the period required by accounting legislation. Rate-limiting records are deleted automatically within hours.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or ask us to delete your personal data, and you may object to or restrict processing. Your name and phone number can be edited on the account page. For anything else - including account deletion - contact us at german@staysmart.ee. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
